![]() Aside from that, some other problems are the CGI-gore which is starting to look better, but never will be as convincing as prosthetics. ![]() ![]() For some reason the movie makes a whole issue out of racism still? that makes no sense whatsoever- but I guess in Hollywood political agendas never die. There isn't much a love story either, thankfully. What you have to fear here is not some shadows or something jumping out at night, but everyday life during the day. It also has the advantage that most of it is filmed during the day as opposed to the standard and annoying endless shots at night and in the rain of most horror movies. And one of those startled me and I reacted to avoid what was coming at me.This is quite an exhilarating movie because it's so cheery about death and gore. Here, there are plenty of very effective instances where stuff flies into your face. In "My Bloody Valentine" 3D effects where underused. Starting with the opening credits, to the final death scene. Nothing unfamiliar to those who have seen one of the previous entries of the series.What sets this movie apart from most theatrical-release horror is the delight this movie takes in gore. This leads our kids to realize that they will be next and the have to find a way to break the chain of deaths.
